Every workout should consist of back strengthening exercises; however the truth is that most people never think about this problem until they are screaming out in pain from their chronic back pain. This will help you build up the back muscles so that you can avoid any type of pain in the future.

Side Plank: This exercise will require you to lie down on the floor with your right side up as straight as possible from head to toe. You will want to hold your body weight up with your elbow; keeping it lined directly under your shoulder. When your body weight is up off the ground and is resting on your elbow; you will want to hold the position for at least 20 seconds and then lower it. You can repeat the process for at least 3 repetitions.

Arm Stretches: Grab a hold of a door way and stretch your arms; make sure that you are really pulling on the door so that you will feel a gentle pull in your back.
